PM condemns killing of innocent Kashmiris by Indian security forces in IoK

ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday strongly condemned the “new cycle of killings” of innocent Kashmiris in the Indian Occupied Kashmir by the security forces and urged India to resolve the lingering dispute, according to the wishes of its people.
Imran Khan was reacting to news reports that spoke of a new spate of violence in Kulgam area that led to the killing of around 9 civilians and over 50 injures in a clash with the Indian forces.
The Prime Minister in a tweet said; “It is time India realised it must move to resolve the Kashmir dispute through dialogue in accordance with the UN SC resolutions & the wishes of the Kashmiri people.”
The OIC’s Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) in a recent statement also expressed strong concern over the ongoing reign of terror unleashed by the Indian Security Forces against innocent Kashmiri Muslims in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK).
“Indian occupation machinery has shamelessly used all kinds of oppressive policies to silence the voice and destroy the will of Kashmiri people through use of torture, arbitrary arrests and unlawful killing of thousands of innocent civilians including women and children,” the statement said.
Reports from Srinagar say a complete shutdown was being observed in the Kashmir valley following the shutdown call by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) against the civilian killings in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
